Aud, Marianne, Shane, Leslie & Val - I am so sorry for your loss. I have nothing but great memories of my "cousins from Colorado" - Visiting you all as a kid, your visits to Minnesota, going to Disney World with ALL the cousins and Grandma Josie, and I am so, so happy that we all did that fishing trip a few years ago - that was a great memory and I think the last time I saw Troy in person. Life is busy with everything -- but times like this remind me that nothing is more important than family. My thoughts and prayers with each of you in this difficult time.

There just are no words that can adequately express our deep sorrow for your great loss.
Troy was a very special human being. The last time I had a lengthy conversation with Troy was when we sat together at Cirque du Soleil the evening before Aud's birthday celebration. We talked about his job, summer evenings in his folks backyard on South Jackson Circle, eating his mom's delicious homemade vanilla ice cream and what a blast he had riding around their yard, cutting grass on a riding lawnmower when he was 11 or 12 yrs. old. We laughed, joked and had a semi serious conversation about life in general which I will never forget. Such a clear thinker.
Troy, child of God, special man, gone too soon. You are loved by all and will be sorely missed.

I was very saddened to hear about Troy. My heart aches for you all, and I am lifting you up in prayers.
Troy was my prom date at Denver Christian HS many moons ago. It was a double date with Ron and Jill. The young men were perfect gentlemen, and I have fond memories of that evening - two men gone too soon.
From what l read and have heard through the DCHS grapevine; that young man grew up to be a wonderful man, husband, father and friend. I’m not at all surprised. The only snag… his Baylor Bear devotion. I am a Texas Tech Red Raider. 😉 I will think of the Schaap family (and Troy’s Bear loyalty) in all the games and matches ahead, and I will lift you up in prayer.
Again, I’m just so sorry to hear about your family’s loss and heartbreak. May each of you physically feel the Lord’s arms wrapped around you tightly in the days ahead.
