Trey Boyd's Obituary
Wendell Ray Boyd, III, known as Trey and born September 18, 1987, left this earth May 4, 2025. He joins in heaven his grandparents, Wendell Ray “Scooter” and Ginger Boyd, Sr., Nell Weathers, and Austin and Dolores Brown. He is survived by his father, Wendell Ray Boyd, Jr.; his mother, Tammy Goolsby; sisters, Whitney Reardon and husband Texas Reardon and Tara Goolsby; brother, Michael Goolsby; nieces, Adileigh and Abigail Reardon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Born in Longview, Trey spent his last 17 years in New Orleans, Louisiana as a real estate developer. He loved golf, TCU football, and Nashville Predators hockey, but his favorite thing was travelling and collecting experiences with his family and friends. Trey also loved trying new restaurants and experimenting in his own kitchen. Trey is remembered as a steadfast and loyal son, brother, and friend who never blinked at serving those he cared about. His wit, humor, and playfulness will bring smiles to those he knew forever.
Services for Trey will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13 at 2pm with a burial to follow at Rosewood Park. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
