I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Travis and I know he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. I have the most wonderful memories of a warm, generous, kind, and humerous Christian man who was so giving to all he met and especially to his family. Travis and Flora were such wonderful friends to my family - Jake, Hilda, Ron Gieser and myself. I always thought he was such a handsome man - especially in his Navy uniform and I must admit to a girlhood crush on Travis. He will be truly missed. When I was young my family would travel to Longview to visit Aunt Flora Belle and Uncle Travis. It was always a fun time and I rembember Uncle Travis through the years as being a kind and gentle man.
May God bless you all during this time of loss. Today the world has lost a good man.##imported-begin##Ken Carpenter, Jr##imported-end##
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I met Travis when he came to Longview to live with Earnest and Jewel Ferguson. After he and Flora married and had children we were all very close. Your family was an important part of my life and my family's life for many years. I cherish those memories.##imported-begin##Dorothy Bird Gwin##imported-end##
Uncle Travis was a major influence in my life. He lived with us for a year after his mother died and he was like a big brother to me. His life was a story of service to God, Church, and Family. I know that his spirit will live on in his many descendants and they will honor his name and legacy.##imported-begin##James W Ferguson##imported-end##

Uncle Travis will forever be imprinted in my heart as one of the gentlest, most loving Christian men who ever walked this earth. One of my fondest memories was his bird calls - I would sit at his feet, begging for more; he would grin and comply.
My prayers are with you: Jimmy, Tommy, Janet, Carol, Sam & families - your loss is great but heaven has gained a wonderful soul!##imported-begin##Nancy Ferguson##imported-end##
I have such wonderful memories of your Dad and Mom from my childhood. I still have the silk handkerchief he sent from Korea with my picture painted on it when I was about 2 yrs. old. He was a good man, father, and Christian. Cherish your memories!##imported-begin##Jan Parkerson Mutersbaugh##imported-end##
