Tonya Freeman's Obituary
Tonya Freeman was born on December 17, 1953, at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Though she moved to Elderville, TX in later years and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1972. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport for many years. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker, and loving mother. Her and her husband Jugger were married for 49 years. She loved scrapbooking, putting together the family tree, sewing and watching her grandkids. She was a loving and caring person and will be missed by many.
Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Carolyn and William Frank Cooper, her brother Johnny Kenneth Cooper and sister, Teresa Eileen Cooper.
She is survived by her husband, Judson “Jugger” Thomas Freeman of Chalk Hill, her sons; Jonathan Freeman and wife Jami from Lincoln, NE, Joshua Freeman and wife Angela of Chalk Hill and Joel Freeman and wife Ashley of Chalk Hill, daughters; Melissa Freeman of Kilgore and Melinda Hill and husband Richard of Kilgore. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand baby.
Funeral services for Tonya Freeman will be held Saturday, September 4 at 10 am at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson, with a burial following at Chalk Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held the night before between 6 and 8 pm at the funeral home.
