Tommye Rae Lineberger's Obituary
Tommye was born December 19,1930 in Morton Mississippi to Loyd and Lois Hodges. She passed Friday April 12,2024 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 93 in Longview, Texas. She was a faithful member First Baptist Church of Hallsville Texas.
She graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1948, where she was named Miss Spring Hill. She was a teacher’s aide for Hallsville Elementary in the Special Needs Class where she loved all her kids. Tommye drove H1 for many years. She volunteered for The Hallsville Outreach Center for many years and enjoyed her Coffee Drinking Buddies every Tuesday morning at the Main Street Coffee house.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Buck; her daughters Genia Norris and Debi Hill. Granddaughter Kim Matthews and Great Grandson Jake Johnson. Her brothers Sonny, Duck & Jimmy Hodges.
She is survived by her children Jerry Sherwood, Sue & Mike Brown, Roy & Heather Lineberger, Tommy Lineberger & Donna Lineberger. Her Son-in-Laws Larry Norris & Dicky Hill. Her grandchildren, Nancy Johnson, Patti Norris, Lance Norris, Shane Sherwood, Jeromy Calhoun, Mark Matthews, Bryan Matthews, Jessica Warren, Cody Hill, Garrett Hill, Katelyn Lineberger & Kasey Slocum. She is also survived by her 27 great grandchildren & her 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her many friends and loved ones.
Our family cannot thank Brookdale Assisted Living, Heartsway Hospice and The Visiting Angels enough for the Love and Care you gave to her.
