Tommy Joe Williams' Obituary
Tommy Williams of Longview, Texas passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, and was immediately reunited with the love of his life, Brenda, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tommy was born on May 29, 1941, to Clarence Williams and Mavis Nadine Baker in Garrison, Texas.
Tommy was a dedicated machinist at Stemco for many years until he retired. Even after retirement, his dedication continued through part time work when the company needed help training new workers coming in on how to do things his way.
Tommy was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Longview for many years where he served as a deacon. He took part in many church functions and was loved by many.
In the last few years, Tommy had recently joined and attended Woodland Hills Baptist Church where he came to know and love Pastor Charles and the members there as well.
Anyone who knew Tommy knew that he was a family man and was wholly and unequivocally dedicated to his wife Brenda, who preceded him in death in March of 2012 just a few weeks after their 50th wedding anniversary.
Tommy is survived by is son Scott Williams of Longview, daughter Tracie and Kelly Lackey of Bullard Texas, granddaughters Katelin McClung of Bullard, Texas, Kristy Trumble of Shreveport, Louisiana and Kelly (his Sunshine) and her husband Eric Haworth of Tacoma, Washington. Brieannah, Jacob, and Nicholas Williams all of Longview, Texas. Tommy’s world revolved around his great grandchildren. You would rarely see one without the other: Adysen “Joelene” and Dalton Law, Garrett, Kerstyn and Macie Proctor all of Tacoma, Washington, Ava Tackett of West Jordan, Utah as well as Chance and Kory Trumble of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Tommy is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, his Ma and Pa Baker, and his parents, CV and Mavis Williams, his sister Debbie Smith, and nephew Louis Varcasia.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Judson Road in Longview on Tuesday, November 25th from 5-7 pm
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, November 26th at Rader with the graveside and burial following at Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Texas.
Pastor Charles from Woodland Hills Baptist Church will be doing us the honor of Officiating the service.
