Tommy "Tom" Welch's Obituary
Tommy “Tom” Welch 81, of Longview, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Longview, Texas.
Tom was born September 15, 1941, to Earnest and Odessa Eldridge Welch in Marshall, Texas. He had two sisters, Barbara Ann Powell and Sandra Welch Mowery. Tom is a 1960 graduate of Hallsville High School and attended Washburn’s University.
After high school Tom served proudly in the United States Air Force spending some time in Alaska working as a Radio Operator. Upon returning home he found his way to working in sales. Tom invested in people, and he made many lasting connections at his time working at King Tool, Plano Marine and his years living at Lake Cherokee.
Tom has two children, daughter Teri Lynn Welch King and stepson Kevin Welch. Preceding Tom in death are daughter Teri, parents Earnest and Odessa, and sisters Barbara and Sandra. He is survived by stepson Kevin Welch, son-in-law Bobby Dan King, granddaughter Kourtney Ann Welch, nieces Katheryn Powell, Michell Powell Lane, Brittany Lane, nephew Shawn Mowery and longtime friend Jan Lewein.
A private service will be held at a later date.
