Funeral services for Tommy C. Boswell, 69, of Kilgore, will be 2 PM Friday, March 10, at Bright Holland Funeral Home Chapel, Paris, TX, with Reverend James Singleton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, Texas.
The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 PM Wednesday at Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Tommy fought the good fight against cancer with courage and dignity until his death on March 7, 2006.
He was born February 17, 1937 in Paris, Texas, to Curtis and Idell Boswell, who preceded him in death. He was a 1956 graduate of Paris High School, owned and operated several small businesses in Paris before relocating to Longview in 1979 to begin a new business venture, Kleen Sweep, which his wife Joan, continues to operate. Tommy was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church, Longview, moving his membership from Ramseur Baptist Church, Paris, TX, where he and Joan were married.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Joan, of Kilgore, daughters, Lynnette Bailey and husband Barry, of Kilgore, Sandra Howell and husband Glen, of Ft Lupton, CO., and Angela Browning and husband Bob, of Dallas; brother: Charles Boswell and wife Suzanne of Honobia, OK; five grandchildren, Angela Browning?s sons Josh and Jason, Sandra Howell?s children, Billy, Amber and John; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Brice Burdett; six 6 step grandchildren and four 4 step great grandchildren.
Tommy was a true gentleman who made his home a haven of love to friends and family. He leaves behind a rich legacy in the relationships he nurtured.
