Tommie Nell Buckner's Obituary
Graveside services for Tommie Nell Buckner, age 79 of Henderson, will be held Tuesday February 3, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Mays Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Buckner died Sunday February 1, 2009 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home.
Tommie Nell Buckner was born January 12, 1930 in Bethany, La to A.O. & Willie Gilmore. On December 13, 1958 she married Wilton L. Buckner in Sulphur Springs, she was a retired secretary, and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Wilton L. Buckner, children JaNan Abbott & husband Gary of Henderson, Kent Buckner & wife Kim of Henderson. Grandchildren Joshua Abbott & wife Michelle of Gilbert, Arizona, Kolby & Kale Buckner of Henderson, great grandchildren Grace Elisabeth Abbott of Gilbert, Arizona. Brother, Rev. Bill Gilmore & wife LeAnn of Arlington, sister Barbara Brown of Henderson, numerous nieces & nephews, and her special care givers Arlene White, Felicia Greer, and Mary Muse.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 12noon until 1pm Tuesday.
