“Raised you since you was a pup”. The words he would say to me about being my only basketball coach I ever had from 7th grade til I graduated high school. Undoubtedly the closer coach I ever had. The best mentor on the basketball court and in the classroom. Brought the best out of people and pushed them to be better. All the mornings opening the gym at 6 to shoot before school, the late night practices, the running and conditioning, the way he led and mentored us on the sidelines, engraved in me that hard work pays off.
