T.J. "Whitey" Ogden
Funeral services for T.J. "Whitey" Ogden, 86, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Monday, June 30, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverend Todd Kaunitz officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM this evening, at the funeral home.
Mr. Ogden was born on May 24, 1922 in Roberline, LA to Travis Alexander and Nancy Flenniken Ogden. He passed away on June 27, 2008 in a Longview hospital. He married Helen Frances Davis on November 21, 1941. He was a longtime employee at Texas Eastman, having served as a Superintendent over shops and maintenance before retiring in 1983. He received the honor of being a 50 year Mason, and was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mr. Ogden was preceded in death his parents; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen, sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Ogden of Bellville, David and Misty Ogden of Bentonville, AR.; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Richard Ford of Hallsville, Patti and Mike Waller of Gilmer; grandchildren and spouses, Meliha and John Webb, Dale and Pam Callahan, Joel Ogden, Michelle and Paul Carmona, Kelly and Joey Green, Mary and George Skirm, Heather Holloway, Cody Ogden, Chris Ogden, Lindsey and Justin McFaul, Justin Johnson, Braden Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are John Webb, Dale Callahan, Joel Ogden, Paul Carmona, Joey Green, George Skirm, Justin McFaul and T. J. Webb.
