Timmy Lee Maness' Obituary
On Monday, February 26 at 1:16 pm Timmy "Tim" Maness left his earthly home to start his pain free life in Heaven. He passed peacefully at home with his wife beside him after a long heroic battle with cancer.
Although the company have changed over the years he worked at the same job for 42 years. He was an inspector/maintenance mechanic at AITX. His work ethic, determination and drive was something many admired.
He loved working out, fun in the sun, traveling, riding his Harley, his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends.
He was born in Kennett, MO and found his way to Texas in 1981 where he lived and made a life.
He leaves behind wife, Angelia, his daughters, Chrystal (Matt) Foster of Cape Girardeau, MO, Betty Christiansen and Skyler Shaw of Rock Springs, WY, Bridget (Jess) Holt of Brenham, TX, Ashley Maness of Caruthersville, MO, Sydney (Jeremy) Jordan of Kilgore, TX, Lacey (Tony) Bunn of Gladewater, TX. His sister-in-love Carla (Hugh) Bowden of Gilmer, TX. As well as special nephews, Jerry (Jennifer) Bohanon of Kilgore, TX and Chris (Darah) Bohanon of Gladewater, TX. Tim had 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and tons of memories to cherish.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother Betty Nail, his grandparents Leroy and Elmo Nail and his granddaughter, Stacey Pendergrass.
For all our Harley friends, get out and ride fast for him and when you have a drink, lift one up for him. Thank you to Heartsway Hospice for your care and love. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his memory to Heartsway Hospice.
A celebration of life for Tim will be held at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Saturday, March 2 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
