Mr. Williams died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at a nursing home in Garrison.
He was born August 31, 1918 in Woodville, Texas to Horace Vernon and Lottie Sarah Sanders Williams and was a long time resident of Mt. Enterprise . He was a graduate of Mt. Enterprise High School, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Enterprise. He married Joy Boles from Concord, Texas in May 1946 and they had three children.
After working at various jobs before serving in the US Army as an MP during WWII Earl moved to Corpus Christi where he worked until he retired from Champlin Oil Co. in 1978. After retiring Earl and Joy moved back to Concord where he was living at the time of his death. Earl loved to play golf and since Joy loved to travel, he had the opportunity to play golf all over the US. He was well known and loved for his dry wit and easy going nature. Earl will be missed greatly by those of us who were greatly affected by his calm, peaceful, loving presence.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joy and son Tommy.
Surviving are daughter; Pat Milam of New Braunfels and her children, Kurt Milam of Vienna, Austria, Craig Milam and wife Sabrina of Austin, Lana Milam of New Braunfels and Sedra Milam and her two children of New Braunfels; daughter, Randee Oliver and husband Mark of Concord and their children Paul, Ryan and Alyssa; three sisters and two brothers.
