Thomas "Bub" Morrow Collard's Obituary
Thomas (“Bub”) Morrow Collard, 73, passed away on November 4, 2017 at his home in Longview, Texas. He was born on August 29, 1944 to the late Oscar and Fannie Marie Collard. He grew up in Honey Grove, Texas and graduated from Honey Grove High School. After high school, he joined the Army in 1966 and served two years during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of several medals. In 1970, Thomas married Martha Ann Auldridge, and they were lifelong residents of Longview. Thomas retired after working more than 20 years as a pumper for Fina Oil & Chemical Company.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Collard of Longview, Texas. He is survived by his daughter Deana Collard Moore, her husband John, and two grandchildren, Brendan and Kate Moore, all of Houston, Texas; sister, Judy Beasley of Whitehouse, Texas, and her husband Don of Whitehouse, Texas; and nephews, extended family and close friends.
The memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday November 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. David Farmer officiating. Visitation will be held at 1pm prior to the service at Rader Funeral Home. Interment will be privately held at a later date at a family plot in Honey Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association (National Office) or other favorite charity.
