Mass of Christian burial will be read at Ten O?clock am Monday June 8, 2009 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Father Gavin Vaverek officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. A Rosary service will be on Sunday June 7, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home at 6pm. Mrs. Baysek passed away Wednesday June 3, 2009 in Longview.
Mrs. Baysek was born June 25, 1920 in Deadwood, Texas to John Grady and Willie B. Nail Bounds. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1936. After graduation she worked for the Texas House of Representatives in Austin, and then worked at the Texas Department of Public Safety serving as Captain of the State Women?s Corps. She enlisted May 26, 1944, as Apprentice Seaman in the United States Coast Guard, where she served until she was honorably discharged as a Storekeeper, Second Class on November 27, 1945. She was married to Alfred J. Baysek on November 1, 1945. She was an army wife for 20 years. Following
the death of her husband inn1972, she entered college and earned a bachelor?s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She then worked as a legal secretary until her retirement. She spent the last years enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Alfred J. Baysek, U.S. Army Retired; parents John Grady and Willie B. Nail Bounds; one sister, Connie Bounds LaGrone; three brothers; Henry M. Mack Bounds, John Grady Bounds, Jr., Billy C. Bounds, and Travis O. Bounds.
She is survived by two daughters, Janel Garner and husband Michael of Longview, Patricia Gamble and husband Steven of Longview, one son, Allan J. Baysek and wife Marilyn of Naperville, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Garner Clark of Troup, TX.; Christopher Garner of Longview; Stephanie Garner Robertson and husband Laramie of Longview; Alexandra Gamble of Austin, TX; Matthew Gamble of Dallas, TX.; Courtney Clark of Austin, TX.; Gerald Clark of Chicago, Ill; Mallory Baysek of Naperville, Ill; one great-grandson, Corbin Robertson, three brothers, M. M. Dal Bounds and wife Jeanette of Deadwood; Howard Bounds and wife Mary Lou of Port St. Lucie, FL; and James Yancey Bounds and wife Brenda of Carthage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
