We'll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace, you always gave us. You being there for Mom and us through good and bad times, no matter what. We'll always remember you Dad because they'll never be another one to replace you in our hearts, and the love we will always have for you. Love your oldest daughter Leslie.##imported-begin##Leslie Bruce Cude##imported-end##

I worked with Sgt. Tex Bruce several years before his retirement from the PD. He ran a first class operation at the PD firing range. Tex was from the old style of policing some times not a bad thing. Sgt. Bruce will be missed by many fellow officers from Longview PD.##imported-begin##Jacky Hiles##imported-end##

I am saddened by the passing of Tex, but I rejoice that I had the privilage to have known such a fine man. I remember he would take me to the fairgrounds to watch the wrestlers while he worked security; he also surprised me with a mini bike. Even though we weren't related he was like an uncle to me. He will be missed!##imported-begin##Scott Lee##imported-end##
I had met and worked with Sgt. Bruce from 1978 until his retirement in 2000. He was a friend and a respected Police Officer. I always enjoyed listening to him talk about his law enforcement experience. I will miss him and I know many others shall miss him too. Goodbye old friend.

We were very saddened to hear of Tex’s passing. Mike knew and enjoyed Tex’s friendship from his years at the police department and we both enjoyed the 4-wheeling trips / camping adventures we had with Tex and Sarah. He was a fine man whose loss will continue to be felt by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sarah and those Tex cherished most.##imported-begin##Karen Grisham##imported-end##
