Terry O. Nelson's Obituary
Terry O. Nelson passed away unexpectedly at home on June 3, 2019, in Longview, Texas, at the age of 60.
Terry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie; his daughters, April Nelson and Ashley Markham of Longview, Texas; his grandchildren, Payton Smith, of Rochester, New York, Kirstin Saha of Longview, and Dominic Markham of Longview; and his great grandchildren, Faith Rios and Rogue Rios of Rochester, New York. All of whom he loved beyond measure.
He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Stewart Lee and Barbara Smith of Longview, brother, Bruce Nelson of Cleveland, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Kristi Nelson, of Pasadena, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Jodi Nelson of Longview, and sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Frank Portz of Seguin, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Juanita Nelson of Longview.
Terry attended Pine Tree school, worked as a NDT Technician, a welder, and an oilfield mechanic and supervisor in the oilfield fracking industry during his career and was a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge in Diana, Texas.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and was called Pawpaw by those who loved him dearly.
He loved spending time with his family, fishing, socializing, repurposing used items, SnapOn tools and memorabilia, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. followed by graveside services on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview under the direction of Radar Funeral Home. Rev. James Pierce will officiate the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Those wishing to send flowers may send them in care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
