Terry D. Alford's Obituary
Memorial services for Terry D. Alford, 71 of White Oak will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home at 10am. Terry passed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Longview surrounded by his family.
Terry was born in Longview on March 20, 1948 to parents Leon and Elwanda Alford. He attended and graduated from Union Grove High School where he played football, and later became very involved in their Alumni Program. Upon his graduation, Terry enlisted in the Army and faithfully served this Country through the Vietnam War. Terry was always proud of his time in the military. He was a hard working devoted worker who was incredibly honest and never met a stranger.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Elwanda Alford, and his wife Mary Lee Alford. Those left to cherish their memories of Terry include his children Dusty Smith and her husband David, Russell Alford, and Rickey Loyd; grandchildren Taylor and Lauren Bellotte, Kinsey and Sawyer Smith, and Chyanna and Christian Loyd; and sister Helen Tidwell of Dallas. Terry will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
