Funeral services for Tennie Looney Gilbreath, 87, Longview will be held at Four O?clock pm Thursday July 10, 2003 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Leo Bailey and Mindy White officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Gilbreath passed away Sunday July 6, 2003 in Longview.
She was born June 9, 1916 in Collierville, Tennessee to Will and Josie Looney. She had lived in Longview the past three years moving here from Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Sarah Smith and Joe C. Short, Karon Smith Hodge, son and daughter-in-law, Richard Looney and Elsie Smith, grandchildren, James Scott and Jamie May Short of San Marcos, TX., Rita GayeShort and Gary Knight of Harlingen, TX., Sarah JoiShort and Gary Lee of Hallsville, TX., Trenie Smith and Mike Whipple of Ocala, Fla., Ray Smith and Fiancé Lenetta Foye of Gainesville, Fla., great grandchildren, Jared James Short of San Marcos, TX., Sarah Kathern Short of San Marcos, TX., Jonas Joseph Lee, Kendra Joi Lee, Gerald Curtis Lee, Stephen Whipple, Daniel R. Whipple, niece Gloria Looney Bridges and other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday July 9, 2003 from 6pm until 8 pm.
