Ted Harris' Obituary
Funeral services for Ted Harris, 68, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Bro. Charles Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Mr. Harris passed away Saturday morning in a local hospital. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Ted was born on June 10, 1944 in Ore City, Texas to Lonnie and Fannie Harris. He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Ted was married to the love of his life, Gloria Harris, for almost 51 years. He loved fishing and collecting model cars, and coached little league baseball for many years. He also owned Harris Mobile Home Parts and Repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Chris and Kevin Harris; and his sister, Bobbie Merril.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria Harris; his daughter and son-in-law Stacie and Michael Estrella; his grandsons, Kyle Harris and his family, Joshua Harris and his wife Lisa, and Zen Estrella; his granddaughters, Brandi Harris, Skye Parr, and Gillian Harris; his brothers, William E. Harris and Jerry Clyde Harris both of Dallas; his brother-in-law, Leon Merril; and numerous nieces and nephews.
