She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil R. Wall, Jr., and her brother, Virgil R. Wall, III. She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband David Russell Collins Sr., son, David Russell Collins Jr., his wife Kelly Lynn Collins, grandchildren, Addison Michelle and Bentley Thomas Collins; son, Michael Robert Collins and his finance Crystal Calhoun; mother, Virginia LaMarr Wall Hare, stepfather, Othello Oscar Hare Jr.; brother, Patrick Michael Wall and his wife Susan Strait Wall, nieces, Erin Wall Johnson and her husband Alex Menninger Johnson and Shannon Patricia Wall. Tara attended school in Houston and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She received a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the Bates School of Law, University of Houston. Tara practiced law in Houston with the John Bailey Law Firm and the Jackie Taylor Law Firm for many years. Later she moved her practice to Atlanta, Texas where she eventually retired and devoted all of her time to her husband and sons. Tara was quite the accomplished gardener and gourmet cook. She loved to curl up with a good book or visit with family and friends. Tara will be missed by all that touched her life. As difficult as it is for her family and friends, who loved her and who are left to carry on, she would want us to honor her memory by living each day to the fullest as she lived hers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 at the Centre Presbyterian Church, 8531 FM 2011, Lake Cherokee Longview, Texas 75603. The service will be officiated by the Reverend John Woodard. At this time the family request that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Hemophilia Federation of America.
A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com.
