Sylvia Cole Jackson
Celebration of Life Services for Sylvia Cole Jackson, 86, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Tommy Brasher officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to services.
Mrs. Jackson was born January 19, 1929 in Puckett, Mississippi. She loved the Lord and was a member of Light House Church, Longview, TX. Sylvia lived life to the fullest and loved being around family and friends. She never met a stranger, and when she entered a room, she was the focus of attention.
She grew up in Livingston, TX, where she was usually found at Gospel singings and camp meetings. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Jackson; parents, Eva and Rev. Julious Cole; sisters, Elaine Cole Roper and Elsi Dean Cole; brother, Raymond Cole; and her pride and joy pet, Jaguar.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and their husbands, Marlla and Albert Goettle and Juanita and Rusty Tucker; grandsons, Jon Reneau, Brandon Murray and Will Dooley; two great grandchildren, Jackson Reneau and Anniston Dooley; one sister, Jerri Cole Smith; two sisters-in-law, Nelda Martin and Wanda Lindsay; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Summer Meadows and staff, where she made so many special friends.
