Sybil K. Brown's Obituary
A rosary for Sybil K. Brown will be recited at 10 AM Monday, January 29, 2007 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM with Father Mark Dunne officiating. Burial will be held in Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Rd.
Sybil Brown was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 11, 1925. She passed away on January 24, 2007 in a Longview nursing facility. She was married to James Jim D. Brown, Jr. for more than 43 years. She lived in Longview for more than 43 years, attending St. Anthony?s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Brown was a loving and devoted wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed golf, dancing, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. During the past year, she enjoyed her new life at Alpine House Assisted Living Center with new friends and new activities.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Brown, Jr. and her sister, Esther E. Kress of Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her sister June K. Hodil of Englewood, FL. and her daughters, Denise B. Garcia of Edmond, OK husband, Beto Garcia, Beth Davis of Pelham, AL husband, Steve and children, Lauren & Peyton, and her sons, James Jim D. Brown, III. wife, Kerry and his sons, Bryan & Greg, and Tom Brown wife, Carla and children, Del, Brittany, & Paden.
Mrs. Brown and her wit, warmth, and humor will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
