Gwen, I loved your mother and was so sorry to see she had passed away. We did not get to see each other often any more but when we did, it was like it had been only a day or so. But that was Suzanne. I did not get to go to her funeral because you know how school is at this time of the year especially. My heart goes out to you. I know you were the joy of her life, from birth until now. I have never experienced such a joyful celebration of life as on Wednesday. Mrs. Black as I've always called her instead of by her first name! is so proud of you for your courage, steadfast faith, and absolute glowing aura radiating love. I am so glad that I could attend the "going home" ceremony for your mom. She was a second mother to me for many, many years and I will miss her body but will forever know her spirit. As the crowd evidenced her following, I was unable to talk to you while I was in Longview. However, please let me hear from you, when you are able. I love you, Gwen, and want to help you in any way needed.

I just wanted you to know how sorry we are to hear about your mom. I met her at LBT. She was always there for me to talk to. What a great witness she was! She said her daughter was a teacher at Hudson Pep. What a shock to find that you would be my daughter's teacher. I am also glad to know you and Suzzane through some of the church services we attended. I know this is a hard time for you. Just know that your mom was loved, and so are you. You will be in our prayers. The Lord is your strength, and comfort. Your mom is in Paradise now.

I first met Suzanne back in 1994 when I was working for BSC Securities. She was working the Safety Deposit Boxes at Longview Bank and Trust, and our desks were about 20 feet away from each other. We shared a lot of secrets during that time, and she helped me solve some of my problems. We were very close friends. I'm so sorry she has had this uphill battle with cancer, but am glad she is no longer in pain. We will all miss her very much ...
To Gwen ... You mom was a very special friend to me, and I will never forget her. I'm so thankful I got to see her in December when I was home we are currently living in China .. you may remember, we ran into each other at Steinmart. I know your Mom loved you VERY much, and you will miss her greatly. Actually, we all will. She was a great source of energy for me, and was always positive. She was a great person and will always live in my memory.
