Susie Mae Mayfield's Obituary
Graveside services for Susie Mae Mayfield, 86, of Longview, will be 2 PM Wednesday at Memory Park Cemetery with her grandson Tim Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
Mrs. Mayfield went to be with her Lord on Monday March 24.
A native of Seagraves, Texas, she was born February 2, 1922 to Sam and Lonie Louise Berry. Mrs. Mayfield had been a resident of Longview for the past 48 years and had worked for 13 years as a retail clerk for Anthony's. Susie Mae was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church and had accepted Christ at the age of 15 and was baptized at the 1st Baptist Church in Anson, Texas. She loved her family and thrived on playing dominoes with her sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Mayfield and is survived by her daughters: Ann Dillard of Grants, NM, Judy Perkins of Longview, Betty Widner of Granbury, Joyce Broyles of Arlington, sons: John Mayfield, Jr., and wife Pam of Longview, Nicky Mayfield and wife Paulette of Longview and Ricky Mayfield and wife Dena of Houston, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and sisters: Dutch Scott of Lovington, NM and Bunny Patterson of Shreveport.
