Sue McKee's Obituary
Ameda Sue McKee was born on September 7, 1925, and passed away on December 26, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.C. (Pete) McKee.
Sue was born in Jacksonville, Texas and served as a nurse in World War II. After raising her family she returned to nursing and graduated from Kilgore College with her LVN. She then served 17 years at the Good Shepherd Hospital as an emergency room nurse.
She is survived by her two sisters, Nancy Jean Holcomb, and Ida Ray Zimmerman.
Three daughters: Janet Baker and husband Jimmy, Kathy Ward and husband Jim, Sally Brunson and husband Joe David.
Six grandchildren: Angie Jacobs, Kimberly Bunn, Michael Ward, Chris Baker, Stephanie Ward, and J.D. Brunson.
Fourteen great grandchildren: Marc Baker, Brooke Baker, Claire Masterson, Josey Masterson, Dean Baker, Gabe Brunson, Gavin Brunson, Aubrey Brunson, Madison Jacobs, Ethan Jacobs, Caleb Jacobs, Georgia Grace Ward, Parker Bunn, and Hunter Bunn.
She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Dr. Mike Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
