Sue M Bolton's Obituary
Susie Marie “Sue” Bolton, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Clyde D. Bolton.
Mrs. Bolton was born in Winona, TX on October 19, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Morris William Sr. and Bertha (Dawson) Shelton.
Sue was a godly woman, who loved her family, singing, reading, sewing, crafts, fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed watching crime dramas, mysteries and Atlanta Braves baseball. She spent untold hours volunteering at her local church and as a Teacher’s Aide at Hallsville Elementary.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sue was preceded in death by her siblings, Alice Copeland, William Shelton Jr. and Mary Sellers, and her husband’s brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Geneva Bolton, whom she loved dearly. Those left to cherish their memories of Sue include her daughter, Angela Wayt and husband Larry of Longview; son, Donald Bolton and wife June of Longview; sister-in-law, Betty Severa of Winona TX; grandchildren Christopher Wayt and wife Sherry of Midland TX, Jennifer Guillory and husband Daren of Houston TX, and Shanda Jackson and husband Chris of Longview; great-grandchildren Jackson and Kate Guillory, Thomas Wayt and James Jackson. Sue is also remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A service to honor Sue’s life will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Hallsville, with the graveside service following at Memory Park in Longview Heights. Family visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10 from 5-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Hallsville Building Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
