Wendy Bratteli
I will value each vacation we had, each deeply provoked discussion, our afternoon cocktail hours, all the competitive RummiKub games we could play, and the stops for Merch-shopping that out-paced my own, that I could ever had with Steve Rainey!! He was so fun to tell stories, share his thoughts, fuss about bad drivers and slow players, and express his love for his friends and family so freely.
I will always admire how he’d tell us he loved us, and I knew he did. He was true and transparent always with his heart and his words and I just loved that about him, his example was of truth and confidence. I will miss my dinners at Cherokee Club, or takeout at his home. I will miss “us” and I’m so grateful and blessed to have shared so many wonderful times with him and Lou Anne.
This man loaded up on a 2 week trip to Ireland, not knowing me from Adam, and we came home best of friends. He was brave! Ha ha!
We lost an incredible man, and Heaven gained a great one! Rest now Steve Rainey. I know your heart is Full and Strong again! See you later my friend. Love, Wendy Bratteli
