Joe And Kay Cook
Words cannot express how much Steve, Glenda, Julie, and Heather have meant to our families through all the years we have been blessed to share their friendship. Steve was the epitome of what a Christian should be. He was faithful in his service to the Lord in every aspect of his life whether it be at home, church, work, or just hanging out with friends. You always knew Steve would be a blessing to others. He and Glenda were so kind and helpful to our parents, Bob and Peggy Jeffcoat. When our dad went through his own battle with cancer, they were such strong encouragers and always ready to lend a hand to help. Through the years, when Steve would be traveling through town, he would take time to call and come visit our mom. When hurricane Ike hit our area, Steve drove all the way from Longview to bring gas cans filled with gas to help us run a generator among many other times of helping. He and Glenda have raised two beautiful daughters who have been grounded in their faith because of the strong Christian parents they had. When Steve first found out about his illness, we got to talk and he didn’t dwell on his being sick but he spent the time talking about how much God was blessing him through it all. Although his leaving has left a hole in many hearts, especially his sweet family, his example of how life should be lived is his greatest legacy for us all. We will miss you greatly our friend.
