Stephen Edward White's Obituary
Stephen Edward White was born to Robert G. White and Patricia B White in Longview, Texas on November 12, 1968. Stephen passed away in Dallas, Texas on August 23, 2023. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with two degrees. One in Radio, Television and Film, and the second one in Journalism. Stephen had a passion for baseball and the Texas Rangers. He may have been their all-time most loyal fan. From a young age, he watched and recorded baseball scorebooks for nearly every Ranger’s game. He also loved The Beatles, his friends, and he had an amazing knowledge of trivia and history. His career included a stint as a DJ, writing for the Palestine Herald-Press, and teaching school. He had a passion for reading books and he loved classic movies. He had a great sense of humor, told great stories, and was the only male in the family that could carry a tune. He was dearly loved and will be missed. Honorariums can be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church at 2500 McCann Road, Longview Texas 75605 in Stephen White’s name. Stephen is survived by his mother, Patricia White, older brother, Rob, sister-in-law, Julia, and nieces Patti and Abby White.
