Stephen Lowell Smith of Longview, Texas died peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22. Steve was born April 5, 1944. He was married to his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife Marilyn Kay Smith for 59 years. Read Obituary
Steve was one of the nicest, sweetest, and most caring young men in our Pine Tree class of 1962. Everyone loved him! My heart goes out to Marilyn and all of her family. Steve was a devoted Christian and a long time member of our Greggton Methodist Church in Longview. May God bless him.

Steve was just the kindest person. He was so sweet to me when Ronnie passed away. I will always remember him as the smiling gentle soul that he was. David, Connie, Daniel, and Stephen were lucky to have him as a dad. Marilyn, do you remember when he brought Connie to the hospital when Stephen was born in Daniel’s dirty cowboy boots??? Steve gave me a job at Anchor Safety three and half years ago...since then life has been good for me and my family. Thank you Steve for everything you have done for us. We will always miss you and we love you. Our condolences for the rest of the family.
