Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Rosewood Park. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Wednesday, October 02, 2013 in Longview.
Maj. Shirley was born November 10, 1937 in Venus, TX and had been a resident of Longview since 1983. He was a master woodworker and was a member of the East Texas Hardwood Association. He was retired for the U. S. Air Force and was an engineer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Shirley; son and daughter-in-law, James Dee and Rena Shirley; grandchildren, Christopher Lane Greene and James Allen Shirley, all of Longview.
