Steve was a great, sweet friend to my husband Marty Barnes & me. He loved ham sandwiches, Dairy Queen breakfast, but most of all his children, grand & great . They were his very heart. He was a patriot with the American flag always flying. We will always love him right back & will always smile when we think of him!
We have known Steve a long time. Mostly saw him through other friends. It was evident the most important part of his life was his family and fishing. His name will not be forgotten at Lake Cherokee and among all the friends he encountered over the years He will be missed. His organizational skills with his fishing equipment will not be forgotten either! He enjoyed life.

Condolences to his family. We shared attending Pine Tree High School, graduating in the same class. He was always seen as a class “favorite”. Rest In Peace. Very sad to hear of his passing.
