Stephen Allen Golemon's Obituary
Funeral services for Stephen Allen Golemon, 62, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Bro. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Park in Longview. Stephen passed away Saturday morning in Longview. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 1-2 PM.
Steve was born on December 30, 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Clendon and Dorothy Golemon. He was a proud resident of Longview for last 55 years and considered himself "Mr. Longview". Steve affected the lives of many friends all over town. He attended Pine Tree schools, and he loved Amtrak and trains, country music, and Dr. Pepper. A highlight of his day was going to the mailbox in anticipation of a new train magazine and a trip to the Longview Amtrak Station. Longview has truly lost one of its greatest ambassadors and he will be missed.
Stephen was preceded in death by his Father, Clendon Golemon; and by his sister, Donna Golemon Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy Golemon of Longview; his brothers Clint Golemon and wife Lauren of Longview, Jerry Golemon and wife Rebecca of Magnolia, TX, and Ric Golemon and wife Brynne of Lebanon Township, NJ; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
