I know this is very late in coming, but I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss.

Mrs. Wooldridge was my kindergarten teacher, and do want you to know that I remember her fondly. I was a clumsy child, the only person I knew who was left-handed, and I am fairly certain that without her patience, it is entirely possible that I would still be unabe to tie my own shoes.

I have children of my own now, I'm a Scout leader, and I also work in an elementary school as a teacher's assistant, and I still remember, and try to apply that same patience to the children I interact with every day. In a way, Mrs. Woodridge continues to help kids, even now.

Again, I am sorry to hear of your loss, but am so grateful to have known her for the short while I did. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Mrs. Wooldridge was a very gracious lady and I enjoyed working with her at school for so many years. She was a good teacher and very compassionate. I remember one day we had emergency training and we had to have a partner/patient and we had to practice giving first aid and bandaging wounds. Mrs. Wooldridge was my partner and the next day she came to school and gave me a beautiful gardenia she had grown as appreciation for working with her. I was so touched by her sweet gesture. I am thankful I got to know her and to appreciate her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Not one single thing can I put my finger on. My mother always referred to her as "the good one" but I do remember the story of her getting them all up and dressed and leaving Grandma Parsons house and taking them home the morning after Granny and Grandad got married. Always wondered what on earth Granny thought about that! But the most vivid memory is seeing her for the first time after Mom passed away and how it was like looking at my mother again. It was breathtaking. She was always a little piece of my mother and how I loved her. Thank you Aunt Stella. I will miss you so much.
