Skitch R. Lopez
Mass of Christian Burial for Skitch R. Lopez, 41, of the Chalk Hill community, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at St. Matthew?s Catholic Church, Longview, with Father John Flynn and Father Xavier Pappu officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, at Rader Funeral Home, Longview. Burial will be in Memory Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He died Friday afternoon at his residence.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home following the Rosary.
Skitch was born July 25, 1963, in Lakin, Kansas, to Manuel and Marlena Lopez. He grew up in Deerfield, Kansas, and moved to Longview in 1981. He was a self employed jeweler, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, and also attended St. Matthew?s Catholic Church. Skitch is a lifetime member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, Longview Chapter.
Skitch was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Diana; brothers, Gerard Lopez of Colorado, Kyle Lopez and his wife Judy of Diana, and Rory Lopez of Diana; sister, Julia Brouillette of Longview; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was loved by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Matthew?s Building Fund or to family members for funeral expenses.
