Shirley May Grey's Obituary
Shirley May Grey of Longview was born September 6, 1925 at Pompano Beach, FL and was called home by her Heavenly Father on October 11, 2008. Mrs. Grey is survived by her daughter, Pandy Barg of Longview and her 2 granddaughters, Jennifer McCaskill husband Bobby of College Station and their 3 children; and Tiffany Owen husband USAF T/SGT James of Dayton, Ohio and their 2 children.
Mrs. Grey is also survived by 3 sons, A. Collie Grey wife Dusty of Rusk, TX, Rob Grey wife Kim of Longview and Jeff Grey wife Barbara of Oklahoma City, OK. Mrs. Grey was preceded in death by her husband, E.R. "Sarge" Grey; her youngest son, Timothy; and her daughter-in-law Collie's first wife, Martha C. Grey, all of Longview.
Mrs. Grey and her husband, E.R. "Sarge" Grey, were married July 1st, 1947 in Mississippi and traveled the U.S. and around the world as a military family until 1961 when "Sarge" retired from the U.S.A.F. and joined the faculty at LeTourneau College. After their service at the school, the Grey's joined Missionary Tech Team of Longview where "Sarge" was their representative. Throughout their lives together, Mrs. Grey steadfastly stood by her husband as they served the Lord together and blessed countless lives both at home and abroad.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, October 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Birne Wiley of Missionary Tech Team and Roger Carr of Longview officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
