Graveside services for Shirley M. Lynn, 72, of Longview will be held at 1 PM Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Forrest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. Mrs. Lynn passed away Monday at her home. Services are under the direction of Ra Read Obituary
I'm so sorry to learn of this. Shirley was my best friend in Junior High School, and I called her tonight to wish her a happy 73rd birthday. Discovering the phone was disconnected, and knowing she'd been in poor health, I searched for an obituary. If any family members would like to contact me, I'd be very happy to correspond. I'm so sorry to learn of your loss and would have been at the visitation, but just read about it in today's paper.
I have seen Ms Shirley some over the past few years. We had some good visits. I also used to stop by Mr. Lynn's office on 4th Street and visit a while. Both of them were such sweet, respected friends. My girls, Ashley and Amanda, went to St. Mary's with their children. I remember the daughter played the violin.
I'm lifting the family up in prayer.
