Shirley Lewis Miller
Funeral services for Shirley Lewis Miller, 85, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverends David English and Dwayne Beaty officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum.
She was born January 19, 1927, in Akron, Co to Samuel Beauford "Boots" Lewis and Hazelle Murray Lewis. She met and married Walter H. Miller, Jr. in 1953 and they were employed with Baroid Mud Co until 1960, when they bought The EZ Shop on Hwy. 149. In 1963, they built the EZ Shop #2 on 4th. St. They retired in 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister and a baby boy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Walter H. Miller III, "Trey" and his wife La Nell; granddaughters, Angie Miller, Jade Lewis and husband Paul, and Christina Dickerson and husband Daniel; and great grandchildren, Malakai and Lenox Lewis.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral Home.
