Memorial services for Shirley J. Godfrey, 69, of Longview will be at Rader Funeral Home on Saturday February 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Shirley was born July 12, 1943 in Houston, Texas to James Byron Anderson and Ethel Levell Morrison Anderson.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Jay Frank Godfrey, niece Sunny Gayden and her parents.
Shirley is survived by her sons Kevin Ross Godfrey and Geoffery Jay Godfrey , grandson Graham Jay Godfrey and beloved granddaughter Ella Godfrey, all of Longview, and sister Jimmie Ann Anderson of Azle, Texas. She had numerous friends and family, espicially Alicia White, John James and Sharon White.
The family moved to Longview in 1985 and set up Fugitt/Godfrey Realty and Imaginations Plus hair salon. Shirley is best known for taking care of everyone she came into contact with, she selflessly loved in a way that everyone that came into contact with her knew. She touched many lives and those people know what she offered. Shirley loved nothing more in life than spending time with Graham and Ella.

to help fight the disease that ultimately took Shirley's life.
