Shirley Ann Hammons Grubb's Obituary
Shirley Ann Hammons Grubb, born December 15, 1942, in Longview, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2026, surrounded by family.
Shirley was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church for 59 years and served as a second grade Sunday school teacher for 20 years and has been a faithful servant in many capacities over the years. She has served her community by participating in meals on wheels for 16 years and taken many of her home cooked meals to people in need.
Shirley loved to travel, spend time with friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Grubb and on August 26, 2026, they would have shared 65 wonderful years together.
Shirley was proceeded in death by her father Fred Hammons and her mother, Gladys Hammons. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband Robert (Bob) Grubb, her children, Kenneth Bryan Grubb and wife Lacy of Longview, Texas and Natasha Ann Dangel and husband Gordon of Katy, Texas, her grandchildren Olivia Dangel of Longview, John Grubb and wife Bryanna of Austin, Texas, Hannah and Brooke Grubb of Lindale, Texas, Emilie and husband Blaine Bourn of Katy, Texas, and Sidnie and Blake Williams of Salado, Texas, and great grandchildren Dawson and Eden Williams, Anna Bourn, Carter Bickerstaff as well twins Callum and Baylor Grubb expected in July of this year.
Shirley also leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends who she loved very much.
A visitation will be Saturday June 13, 2026, at 9:00am at Rader Funeral Home followed by services at 10 am with Scott Schulik officiating.
Graveside service will be at Friendship Baptist Church (Gill Cemetery) in Marshall, Texas.
All donations will go to Mobberly Baptist church or Perkins Partnership Ministries
