Shirley Faye Jeffcoat Zitek's Obituary
Shirley Faye Jeffcoat Zitek, 78, of Longview, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 4, 2014.
She was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina on May 11, 1935 to Cecil and Vera Jeffcoat.
Shirley met and married John Zitek and they moved from SC to East Texas where they resided until her passing. During those years, she was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Hallsville First Baptist Church and currently Longview Missionary Baptist Church".
She was a faithful wife and a loving mother who will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, John Zitek, her children Ann Jolley and her husband Dewey, Joe Zitek and his wife Anne, Julie Smith and her husband David, grandchildren Kiri and her husband Justin, Renee Norred, Mari and her husband Tim, and Allison Zitek, great-grandchildren Gracie, Katie, Emma, Easton and Hunter, her sister, Nell Ulmer, and family in SC.
Shirley’s parents, her sister, Cecilia Wannamaker, and her granddaughter, Robyn Looper, all precede her in passing.
Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Shirley’s life
from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm in the fellowship hall of Longview Missionary Baptist Church Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
