Shirley Jo, a sweet lady, I first met when I started to work at Eastman then a few weeks later she was training me to take her job in the Medical Department since she was going on maternity leave for the birth of her youngest daughter. During those years a company would not hold your job for you. After her return to another department we shared many times as we took breaks together and ate at the same table almost daily in the Company Cafeteria. I last had an opportunity to chat with her in late August 2019 but she didn’t share that she had these recent health issues. So sorry she was suffering but I understand she continued to be very brave and positive.

Shirley was a wonderful school mate. Nettie and I were in the band with Shirley. It was great knowing her and being her friend.

I spent 48yrs. At TEC and had the opportunity to vist with Joe many times. She always had a smile for ever one and had an outstanding personality. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY

Ms. Shirley was the first person you saw whenever you had to visit Medical at Eastman. She was always smiling and eager to assist with whatever issue you had. She was a true comfort to the many employees that made their way to through the doors of Medical. I will always remember her sweet smile and how kind she was toward me.
Shirley Jo's pure sweetness, beautiful smile, and sincere love for others will be so missed! To me, she was an angel on earth and now shares her angelic presence with our Lord and Savior!!! I love you Shirley Jo!!
