Shirley Ann Stark's Obituary
Memorial services for Shirley Ann Brown Stark of Longview will be held in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with David Reeder officiating. Shirley was born January 24, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas as the only child of Roland Easton Brown and Edna Mae Brown. She went on to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Shirley married the love of her life, J E "Butch" Stark, on May 29, 1951. Butch and Shirley shared 60 years of love, 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Shirley loved to entertain friends and family, travel with Butch, and was very active in her Sunday School class at Macedonia Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren as a loving homemaker.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons Jeff Stark and Michael Stark, and daughters-in-law Judy Stark and Kathy Stark. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Billy Wilson of Longview, son and daughter-in-law Terry and Melba Stark of Harleton, son Mark Stark of Longview, and all of her dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Steven Wilson, Jodie Stark, Eric Stark, Chris Wilson, Greg Stark, and Daniel Bishop. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation immediately after the memorial service.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Barbara Fears and Melissa Arroyo with Texas Home Health Hospice and the staff of Summer Meadows for all of their loving care over the past few months.
We all know that if there are cars in heaven and scenic routes to see that she and Butch are cruising down the highway now taking in all of the beauty of heaven.
