Sherry Burks Beavers' Obituary
Sherry (Burks) Beavers, aged 77 of Henderson, Texas passed away on April 18, 2024. She was surrounded by family and friends, both in person and in spirit.
Sherry was born on October 21, 1946 to Dennis Criss “Denny” and Margaret “LaMurl” Burks. In Christ, she joins her parents, older sister (Mary Linda) and two younger brothers (Gene and Donnie Burks). She is survived by her spouse of over 25 years Tommy Beavers, four siblings (Danny, Stewart, Martin, and Lorna), and four children (Wayne and Chris Gray and Kevin and DeLisa Deutsch (Perry). Her grandchildren and nieces and nephews were a source of immense pride and happiness. The family wishes everyone to remember Sherry as loving, caring, and joyful. Tommy had three sons upon entering the marriage and the loss is felt by his children and their families.
Retired from the Longview US Postal Service after 30 years service, Sherry moved back to Henderson. Sherry spent her retirement years working part time, traveling, and volunteering at “the dog house” (Rusk County Pets Alive) supporting animal rescue.
She enjoyed walking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. She always had a smile, hug, and encouraging words. Her light and laughter will be deeply missed by all.
Join the family in honoring and remembering the full life that Sherry lived. Services will be held at Rader Funeral home in Henderson, Texas at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The address is 800 Kilgore Drive, Henderson, Texas 75652. Services will be live streamed and available after the service for viewing at any time on the Rader Funeral home website.
