Sheila Renee Davis' Obituary
Sheila Rene Davis, 53 left this earth on Wednesday August 26, 2020 to join Our Father in Heaven.
Born in Longview, Texas and raised in Hallsville, daughter of David Williams and Bonnie Simmons
Sheila leaves her husband Brent Davis of eleven years, and her sons Adam, Corey, and Sheldon, their wives and children, her daughter Karley and her children and her daughter Jordan; her brother Chad and his son; her sister Kelly, her husband and children; her brother Hunter; her stepfather Tommy Simmons.
Sheila enjoyed challenging her artistic abilities by learning to play the piano and teaching herself to draw. She was passionate about her work and fervent in helping people. But mostly she lived for her family. Nothing brought more joy to her than being surrounded by her grandchildren. What a blessing it is that she was able to be a part of their lives, and even though briefly, she has impacted their tiny lives in the biggest way.
Sheila was a steward of kindness, patience and selflessness. The epitome gentleness and love. She saw only the best in everyone, but do not mistake her for meek, for she exuded strength. She was fierce in her fight with cancer, for she found her strength in our God and when we thought all was lost He blessed us with six more beautiful years. She was a blessing to all who crossed her path and touched every life she encountered. Her faith unwavering, leaving a legacy for all of her children and grandchildren to follow, may we all strive to be more like her.
The battle has been won. No more pain, no more tears, no more suffering. Some may say she lost the battle to cancer, but no my friends, the battle is the Lord’s! Our hearts will always ache for the loss we’ve endured, but let us rejoice that she is at peace with our Savior, joined by her mother and father at the feet of Jesus.
