Shannon Louise Bristow Lindsay's Obituary
Shannon Lindsay passed away on October 8, 2025, in Gilmer, TX. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Ms. Lindsay was born in Longview TX, to parents Glenn and Louise Bristow on June 29, 1968. Shannon was the only child, but had many cousins she grew up with that were more like siblings. In 1980 met and later married Joe Lindsay for half a lifetime. When they welcomed their only daughter Shelby Lindsay in 1998, who is currently 27 welcoming Shannon’s first grandchild in the beginning of this upcoming year. Shannon was the most excited about her first grand-baby, who will now be named after her for her memory to live forever. Shannon was always the light to everyone that she ever got the privilege to meet her. She was resilient and the upmost caring kind individual. She graduated from Hallsville High School in 1986 where she competed in their competitive drill team and was a Belle captain. Then furthered her education at Kilgore College where she later graduated as a licensed cosmetologist. Shannon worked as a hairdresser for thirty years and owned A Cut Above Hair Salon in the late nineties early two-thousands. She will be missed by so many and her legacy will forever live. A quote Shannon always would say “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.”
Those left to cherish their memories of Shannon Lindsay include Daughter(Shelby Lindsay) husband(Joe Lindsay) sister-in-law (Kim Lindsay) and beloved pet Roxy as well as a host of cousins other family and friends.
