Sgt. 1st Class Harry Norton Hall, U.S. Army Ret.
Sgt. 1st Class Harry Norton Hall, U.S. Army Ret, 89, of Longview passed into his Savior's arms Thursday, March 22, 2012. The memorial celebration service for Mr. Hall will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Baptist Church, Longview, TX. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Rosewood Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Mr. Hall was born January 4, 1923 in Jacksonville, Florida, to Harry N. Hall Sr. and Frances Lockett Hall. He was married to Margaret Inez Tatum Hall from 1949 until her death in 2002. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Longview. Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Army in WWII and as a Green Beret in the Special Forces as a reservist, with a total of 32 years of military service. He was retired from the Gregg County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include daughter Nancy Escobar and husband Rene Escobar of Winter Park, FL; daughter Carol Davis and husband Larry Davis of Longview; son Harry N. Hall III of Longview; grandson Jesse Davis of Longview; granddaughter Maggie Escobar of Winter Park, FL; granddaughter Monika Escobar of Brooklyn, NY; grandson Karl Escobar of Orlando, FL; grandson Andrew Escobar of Winter Park, FL; sister-in-law Janette Wolf of San Juan Capistrano, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
