Savanah Marie Crutchfield's Obituary
Savanah Marie Crutchfield
Savanah Marie Crutchfield, a beloved child and resident of Longview, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in Dallas, Texas on January 5, 2016, at the age of 17. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on February 18, 1998, to Kevin and Brandy (Henson) Crutchfield.
Savanah was a light to all who knew her. She had such a precious gentle spirit that seemed to capture the heart of all who had the privilege of meeting her. Although she was unable to talk using words due to her syndrome, she interacted with sweet smiles, hand pats, and the occasional well-placed chuckle. She loved just about any kind of music - her favorites being Christian, country, and pop. She had a fondness for Mardi Gras beads & Disney movies. She would give one of her cherished smiles to anyone willing to sing her a song or just be silly with her. She was loved and cared for around the clock at her home either by her family or a team of amazing and dedicated home health nurses - too many to list.
Savanah is survived by her mother, Brandy Henson of the home; father, Kevin Crutchfield and wife Rachael of Hallsville, Texas; siblings, Justin Crutchfield of Longview, Texas, Shyann and Logan Crutchfield of Hallsville, Texas; grandparents, Richard and Darnell Henson of Hallsville, Texas and Rebecca Allen of Kilgore, Texas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Savanah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Horace Crutchfield.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 6-8:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Rader Funeral Home on Judson Road in Longview, Texas. A funeral service in honor of Savanah's life will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at the Rosewood Park in Longview.
