When Sarah died on Monday, just six days before her 80th birthday, heaven gained
a very special soul. Sarah was one of the most beautiful Christian women whom I have ever known.
Sarah and Jack were wonderful friends to my parents, Rev. Lloyd and Jewel Ozment. Daddy was their pastor for many years and he depended on both of them because he knew their hearts. After my mother became ill, Sarah helped her in many kind ways which I will never forget. After my mother's death, Sarah and Jack stood by my father when he needed his friends.
During the last six years of my father's life Sarah mailed the recordings of the services at Trinity Baptist Church to him so that he could enjoy the beautiful singing and the sermons brought by Bro. Gary Orr. What a loving gift this was for him and it added joy to his days.
Sarah and I have remained friends through all of these years and I have cherished her wise counsel on countless occasions. I tried to help her through Jack's illness and death and hope that she received some comfort from that.
When my husband died two years ago Sarah wrote me the most beautiful and loving card and letter that I received. It will forever remain as one of my treasures.
I know where she is tonight. She no longer has to imagine because she has seen God's face.
